The
Apocalypse Weapons modification (AW
from now on) has a main objective: Turn your Unreal Tournament
into a real Deathmatch.
|
|
You'll
now have powerful and balanced weapons to use. New pickups were
made to suit the mass deathmatch. Neat features will give you
more power and speed. A new atmosphere will be born in your computer.
Blood will be as simple as a cup of water. |
|
AW
Beta 9 features 12 weapons, 7 pick ups and a huge Mod
Menu. Fell free to visit our forums, giving suggestion or whatever
you want. |
|
That's
the Apocalypse Weapons. A small and simple Modification... that
turns your UT into a really Unreal Challenge. |
|
|
 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
In
adition, it'd be a good idea to have a good computer in order
to play AW. The Mod has some "heavy" effects, so if
Unreal Tournament runs slowly w/o AW, I'd not recommend it. |

If
you have the UMOD version, just run the UMOD file, and hit the
Next button a few times. If the UMOD doesn't work for you, maybe
you'll have to get the ZIP version. |
|
In
the ZIP version, you'll have to do the following: |
:::
*UTX files in the "UnrealTournament\Textures"
folder; |
:::
*UAX files in the "UnrealTournament\Sounds"
folder; |
:::
*U, *INI and *INT
files in the "UnrealTournament\System"
folder. |
|
If
you'd like to run a Multiplayer Server using Apocalypse Weapons,
do the following: |
|
-
Take a look at your UnrealTournament\System folder.
-
Search
for a file called UnrealTournament.ini there, and open it.
-
Slide down a little bit, and you'll find
a string called:
[Engine.GameEngine]
-
It'll contain some string initiated with
"ServerPackages".
When you find the last ServerPackage, add these two lines
ServerPackages=Apocalypse
ServerPackages=ApocalypseX
-
Save the file, and start your UT! It's
ready to rock!
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
|
Once
you've installed it sucessfully, do the following: |
- Run UT;
- Start
a Practice session;
- Add the
+[A]pocalypse [W]eapons mutator;
- Start
the game and have fun!

There's
also a secondary mutator, the +[Burning Player]-[AW],
which allows you to set fire on your enemies. Note that in case
you'd like to use the Burning Player mutator, you *MUST* add one
of the primary AW mutators. |
